GUIDANCE and COUNSELING OFFICE AT ST. JOHN'S

 

Integration is an important process.  It cannot be achieved overnight and it is likely to be gradual.  It requires adequate and careful planning to succeed.

 

The above statement introduces the Guidance and Counseling Office of St. John's School.  This office seeks to integrate our students into the society as well developed citizens in all aspects of life.  it does so with guidance according to the following aims / objectives:

 

        1. Offering support in difficult situations.

 

        2. Providing a listening ear for students' problems.  

 

        3. Offering guidance on various issues facing students, their life in school and outside.

 

        4. Helping students to plan for their future.

 

Activities of the Guidance and Counseling Office involve the following:

 

        1. Seminars and Symposia on social issues and career guidance.

 

        2. Guide and Counsel poor academic students.

 

        3. Coordinate help and assistance from our Old Students in our Tertiary Institutions to the students

            currently in St. John's
